Wheel Spinning Classes
Wednesdays, February 6 through March 6, 1:30pm-4:30pm (5-week class)
Wednesdays, March 13 through April 10, 10:30pm-4:40pm (5-week class)
Come and learn how to make yarn with master spinner Jean Franklin! She'll teach you how to choose the fleece style or breed that is correct for the project you wish to make. Learn to spin "woolen" and "worsted," and why you might choose one over the other spinning style. Jean will cover spinning all sorts of fibers, not just wool but cotton, alpaca and flax.
Explore various wheels and discover what works best for you. Start with the shop spinning wheels, the hand cards, flicker, drum carder, all of the best tools will be available for you to use with while you are in class. If you already have a spinning wheel please bring it; we will tune it and you will be ready embark on a new and exciting path in the wonderful world of fiber arts. If you want to spin outside of class and do not own a wheel, Jean will rent a wheel for nominal fee. In the market for a wheel? You will have an opportunity to try all sorts of wheels and decide which you like best.
Open to all experience levels. The cost is $85 for this 5-week class.

To reserve you place or check for availability, please stop by or call the store at (530) 642-2270. Full payment is necessary to hold your seat in the class. If minimum class size of three students is not met one week prior to the first class, all fees will be refunded and class will be canceled.
