Wouldn’t it be great to take a knitting class from one of our shop’s top instructors — in your pajamas? Perhaps you’re not comfortable in a face-to-face teaching scenario, or live in a distant city. Maybe you have a nine-to-five job or child-care needs and can’t get away.

Our new Custom Classes are the answer! Just let Lofty Lady/instructor Nancy Fowle know your learning goals and she will design a course over Zoom that’s tailored to your specifics. Her studio is outfitted with two cameras to ensure you see knitting demos clearly—without the need for masks and social distancing. Her decades of knitting and teaching experience guarantee you’ll walk away with the knowledge to tackle or finish that project that’s been daunting you.

Possible sample courses could include but are not limited to: Socks for beginners; knitting for beginners/refresher course; lace techniques and knitting with beads; advanced knitting techniques (pattern selection/reading/modification, cast-ons/bind-offs, etc.); fixing mistakes.

Nancy will work with you to set up a time that works for you, early mornings, evenings, and weekends included. Do you have a couple of friends who want to learn the same skill? To ensure maximum personal attention, Nancy will teach groups of up to three.

Classes are one-hour sessions ($25 for a single session, $40 for two, and $55 for three). As a student, you will be entitled to the regular 10% discount on yarn and notions purchased at the shop.

To start the process or find out more, just click on the button below to email Nancy directly (please write “Custom Classes” in the subject line).
